Many people think that when a computer begins to slow down and behave a little odd that is no longer any good and that they need to get shut and buy a whole new computer or laptop.

This simply is not true. Many computers can be looked at and upgraded in order to have them operating more efficiently for you. There are a number of points however that need to be taken into consideration.

1. Do you wish to carry on using it for the same purposes you have been doing?
2. Are you wanting to play the latest games?
3. Are you using more up to date applications?
4. How old is your computer?

The answers to the above few questions will give a good indicator on whether and upgrade can be performed, and more importantly if it is going to be worthwhile for you. After all there is no point in upgrading if the computer is still not going to be fit for purpose. In most cases though an upgrade in conjunction with a full computer maintenance will vastly improve the performance of your system and allow you to carry on using it for some time to come.

When having your computer or laptop upgraded make sure that any parts used meet the HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) for your device and Operating System.
