Welcome to HSNetwork. HSNetwork as a name or domain has existed for a number of years, although for the most part it has mostly been in planning with progress and development waiting for the planning to finish.

One thing I have come to realise in all this is that the more I plan, the more I think of things I could do and plan for. Therefor the cycle is pretty much endless as far as planning goes and is something I will have to build into the development.

What is it all about

So ok I have bored you with the welcome message. What you actually want to know is what this site is all about. HSNetwork has, in its own planning, come a long long way. My original idea was to have it purely as a site for a group of friends to display, compare and show off their own home servers. Progressing on from this I then decided to cover Home networks and more importantly wireless access points better known as Wifi. This however is limited in its own right and so went one step further in looking at common computer problems, ranging from computer specific, to networking, and wireless.

This is a pretty broad area to cover and will take a lot of work, but it is something that has already been covered oh so many times all over the internet, granted you may have to searcha  little to find it. So on top of this I am also going to include information concerning as many UK ADSL providers as possible. Information will range from things such as, setting up outlook, or outlook express to retrieve emails, uploading web pages (for ISP's offering web space), common known issues (as they are reported) and the resolutions and so much more.

In short really HSNetwork will cover a broad range of subjects ranging from PC problems, network issues, to ISP queries, internet services and so on.

When will the site be finished

The website, if you look at it realistically, will never be complete. This is meant in terms that here will always be new information that can and will need to be added, and features improved and so on. One problem I have found with a lot of websites covering just one topic or another, is that they either stop developing the site thinking that they have achieved a perfect goal, or they think the information they have displayed is more than enough for everyone for years to come.

Unfortunately this is the attitude of someone who has given up hope or is very short sighted with no aspiration to progress.

For me, my ultimate dream for this site is that every person that visits it were to find it useful and informative and would carry on visiting it not only because they require information from it, but also to help in supplying information, interacting in the community area (Forum) and also refer other people to it as a point of reference.

I have never intended, and will never plan, for this site to charge for any of its services, unless it is a service that would benefit everyone for the greater good and were to cost me. But this would be outlined and made clear. But back on track here, I have no plans for there being any charge for use of this site.
